Comments about Krups Espresso Machine - XP2010:

We use our Krups coffee maker every weekend morning and the most benefit I see is that we no longer have to brew an entire pot of coffee if we just want one quick cup or something smaller like an espresso. We've had this for one year so far with no issues. The machine preheats quickly and the espresso is ready moments later. Everyone recommends preheating mugs/filter/water tank first, but we're so impatient that we just brew the espresso w/o preheating and it's fine. For a larger cup or cappucino, probably preheating would be better. I'm not a fan of remembering to clean the grounds off the filter holder after each use, simply because it's easy to forget. We dump the water tray after each use and it's no problem at all. Espressos are creamy and frothy.

Comments about Krups Espresso Machine - XP2010:

A - The Negatives:1. The new rubber smell of the steam spout attachment is very strong ever since opening the coffee maker. It took a week of daily use for smell to mellow out (but it is still there). 2. The carafe (A glass pot with a pouring spout, used in making coffee - see http://www.answers.com/topic/carafe) has a plastic top that keeps coming off (very annoying). 3. When pouring liquid from the carafe it often catches the outside surface of the glass on carafe and spills out - bigger pouring spout could maybe fix it?4. One cannot operate the drip coffee maker and espresso maker/steamer at the same time. I think I understand the designer intentions but it is very annoying especially when I have company and need to make regular coffee as well as espresso.5. This is an expensive item with MSRP of [$]US and even with internet discounts it should be able to wash my car, mow lawn, tuck kids to bed, and have at least a timer feature allowing me to wake up to a fresh cup of coffee.B - The Positives:1. Good solid/heavy design with soft rubber feel keeps it from sliding around the counter top.2. It does save some space on the countertop being a combo appliance.
