It's great that the style is such that it can be either dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. It is also the only stemware I could find with the vertical ribs. It is "French Countryside" but goes perfectly with my "Italian Countryside" dishes because of the vertical ribs.
I don't like the "Mikasa" name etched on the foot. My older matching stemware does not have that.
